We can't help but get excited about celebrity and royal weddings, and the Duchess of Cambridge's sister Pippa's nuptials is no exception! While not exactly royal, it came pretty darn close. While all the pictures we've seen are of course gorgeous, we especially love this little tidbit: Pippa's "something old" was her choice of earrings! She wore the same pair that she wore as a bridesmaid for her sister's wedding. Isn't that sweet? We love a nod to tradition when done in a very personal way.
You can read more about the wedding here in People Magazine : Pippa's Something Old
Whew! We've been busy planning with brides for the crazy June and July wedding months, but we certainly haven't stopped adding to the inventory! First up, we made this cute arbor out of two vintage doors and an old wood ladder. We can't wait to see it used as the backdrop to someone's ceremony. Maybe covered with some greenery, or big summertime blooms!
Next up, we've added this GORGEOUS cream colored Victorian love seat. So dainty and pretty, with intricate wood detailing around the edges. We definitely have a soft spot for vintage furniture.
Are you still feeling the GREEN after St. Patrick’s Day? Maybe it’s the beginning of spring, but we’re loving all things green right now, and we’re not the only ones. “Greenery” is the official color of 2017, according to the Pantone Color Institute. Bright, minty green looks fresh and happy, and darker forest greens can be formal or moody. No matter the season, green looks great in any environment, and is a great companion color for many other colors.
For this summer, our favorite combos are green and pink, green and yellow, or the retro feel of green, magenta, and turquoise. And of course, you can keep it understated by using lots of fresh greens in your floral arrangements. Oh, and guess which of your favorite rental companies just got greenery colored table runners in stock? That's right, hit us up if you're looking to add a bold, colorful accent to your tables!
Head over to our Pinterst board “Color Inspiration” for more ways to use this refreshing, springy color! https://www.pinterest.com/blueweddings/color-inspiration/
No color combination symbolizes love and affection (and Valentine’s Day!) more than pink and red. Used together, they are romantic and give a striking look to events. There are so many great examples of ways to use these colors: beautiful floral accented with white as a centerpiece, in your bridesmaids' attire, or in an extravagant tablescape.
Red is a popular color not just for Valentine’s day, but in every season. Obviously it is used a lot around the winter holidays, but it is just as stunning in autumn with the changing of the leaves. You can find it in the spring in the vibrant flowers of peonies or poppies. It also photographs beautifully. Pink lends itself to a romantic look. It comes in so many shades, almost any bride should be able to find the perfect pink. Whether you are going for an airy, barely there blush pink, a cotton candy pink for spring, or a bright magenta in a glamourous retro wedding, pink can provide so much inspiration.
Here is our won take on the pink and red combo… In honor of Valentine’s Day, we want to show some LOVE to all of our friends and clients. Thank you all for being so fabulous and supportive of our business. XOXO!!
Happy Monday, everyone! Need a little laugh? Weddings are fabulous, but planning one can be stressful. Here's a wedding planning meme courtesy of someecards to give you a chuckle as you head into the rest of your week.
*Picking a venue may be hard, but choosing where to get your vintage decorations? That's easy ;)
Just realized we never posted these pics from our styled shoot this summer. We had such a great time working with amazing partners on this shoot... especially Betty Elaine from Betty Elaine Photography, and Candi from Thrifty Events!

Such a lovely - and BUSY! - month of August! We were out of town the first 2 weeks, visiting Ireland, Paris, and London. Then, we got home and it was back at it! Two weddings to close out the month. The first was a charming outdoor affair in Arlington, at Winding Path Gardens. Don't you love how cute our wingback chairs are as seating at the sweetheart table?
Next up was a gorgeous evening at the Edgewater Hotel in Seattle. Such a bright color scheme, paired with stunning views!
Now that September is in full swing, we're looking forward to busy and beautiful fall. Cheers!
Happy 4th of July to our fabulous friends, family, and clients!
We had so much fun at the Snohomish Wedding Tour this year! Thanks so much to our fabulous hosts Arbor Gardens and Crossroads for having us, and to the other amazing vendors that we had the opportunity to work with. Here are a few photos from the event... to see more, click on the "more" tab above, then "styled inspiration" to see all of the amazing pieces we had out that day.
We can't wait for next year!
We are passionate about finding unique vintage items, and love the look that an antique touch gives to weddings and parties. Not only do we rent our items, but we enjoy working with individual clients to design a personal look for their special day. We can't wait to work with you!
